FIONA
G. KING FIONA G. KING graduated from Kootenay School of Art in Nelson, British Columbia where she pursued a career of art production, graphic design and illustration. She moved to California in 1983 and for the last 16 years has focused exclusively on illustration. Fiona has illustrated many books, including the award-winning The Wild Muir-Twenty-two of John Muir's Greatest Adventures (Yosemite Association) as well as a series of books excerpted from the Bible called People of the Book Series (International Bible Society). Her medium is scratchboard. She scans in the hand engraved original black & white art and adds the color digitally. Fiona has also done
product and corporate work along with publishing and editorial assignments
for such diverse clients as Addison-Wesley Publishing, Barron's, Continental
Airlines, Harcourt Inc., Kimberly Clark, McGraw Hill, Miller Brewing
Company, Perrier, Smithsonian, St. Martin's Press, Sunset Magazine,
Wall St. Journal and Wildlife Conservation Society. She currently resides
in McElmo Canyon near Cortez in Southern Colorado. Colorado. |
